JPNK Welcomes You
Welcome to the official page of South Korean Based Jumma community ''JPNK( Jumma Peoples Network - Korea)''.
Our History
Jumma Peoples Network Korea (JPNK) is the outcome of relentless efforts and selfless dedication towards the cause of the welfare of the Jumma people on the part of a few enthusiastic like-minded Jumma youths. The JPNK is a non-profit South Korean based organization established in 2002 at South Korea in association with several social workers based in South Korea. Under the aggies of this Jumma people welfare society, JPNK was established
1. JPNK was established on 14th April 2002 in Gimpo city in South Korea to pass the obstructed voice of the Jumma People of the Chittagong hill tracts of Bangladesh in the outside the world. JPNK is actively working in the area of human right, Culture and Social development in the Chittagong hill tracts ( CHT) and promulgate in the human right issues of the indigenous Jumma People of the CHT in Korea and among the international community as a whole ethnic its evergreen. As a social Culture and human right activist JPNK has enjoyed enormous support mainly from progressive political parties and socio- cultural organization in Korea regardless of caste-creeds and religious believes Jummas in Korea could carried out a lot of activists like, holding street program, seminar, discussion from press conference Infront of Bangladesh embassy, Ganghwa muon, Infront of Jogesha Temple, cultural program, and bringing out publication etc. As a results many.
2. Korean Peoples got to the basic information of the Jumma Peoples and Chittagong. However, international community including the Korean civil society are still left deprived of lot information due to the limited our resource of the Jumma peoples network Korea. To be honest JPNK Does not have regular office bearer to maintain office formalities including coordinating with domestic Organization and public office. Jumma people who were living in Korea hardly working to Jumma the human rights issue in Chittagong hill tracts (CHT) of Bangladesh among the Korean civil society organization like other migrants in Korea, member of JPNK have worked in the industrial company for economic survival, and have worked as national volunteer in the weekend unliked the other migrants who came to Korea on money makings purpose. Some of 20th years are passed by leaving behind incredible hardship and odd experience earned on the way to consolidate a Korean bare on Jumma community to work for the welfare of Jummas in general.
3. Because of the hardship and experience presently Jumma community developed a lot like humanity, culturally etc. some of them becomes the factory owner and they are providing job to others Jummas in Korea. Whatever JPNK still has a long way to walk through. A very small number of ordinary Korean and handful of Korean civil society activist pay their interest to the human right issue of Jumma peoples because of the reason that JPNK could not share enough information of their own people, Their human rights issue and the Chittagong hill tracts (CHT). The place they lived in human right violation of Chittagong hill tracts is now a general knowledge to Korean. However the reason for human rights violation, the pattern of such and its after math that Jumma people face with still unclear to the ,most international community.
